 Victoria Azarenka of Belarus has preserved Saturday, January 26, title to the Australian Open by defeating in straight sets 4-6 6-4 6-3 to China's Li Na, seeded No. 6. It also ensures to keep its place as world number one.

It has become final after a crazy, marked by two successive injuries Li Na at the ankle and stopped for ten minutes because of the fireworks celebrating Australia Day.
Li Na, who was like Azarenka running for a second Grand Slam victory after his coronation at Roland Garros in 2011, was once twisted his left ankle midway through the second set. Treated in the same court, it has been asked a bandage and took over the game back from 1-3 to 4-4 before finally losing the second set.
